The encounter with Jean-Yves Chauvy<\/a> took place naturally, in Valdahon<\/a>, in the premises of the Manufacture de Maroquinerie of which he is the General Manager, in the heart of the French Jura region. A cross-border worker in the opposite direction. “It’s easier, there are no traffic jams…<\/em>“, he smiled at me.<\/p>\n

SIS, an industrial luxury company<\/strong><\/p>\n

The group is operating for the most important Houses on both the Swiss and French sides. Its growth has been exponential over the last 20 years, following a “start-up” model. A mindset that also reflects a policy of sharing results: 50% are systematically paid back to employees.<\/p>\n

Onetime conductor, forever conductor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jean-Yves’ career is quite special: it all began twenty years ago with an encounter between the young conductor, a professional trumpet player, and Jean-Pierre Tolo, SIS’ founder. Jean-Yves discovered the industry and it was love at first sight. Since then, he has been fascinated by manufactured goods.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Now alone at SIS’s head, he is writing the score, setting the music for the day-to-day and long-term performance of his team. At SIS, which was established in 1987, we are always one step ahead, anticipating and building with our partners in a forward-looking approach. This is the case with the RSE (societal and environmental responsibility), the product traceability and the knowledge enhancement.<\/p>\n
