In November 2019, the foundation stone was celebrated in the presence of Erich Fehr, Mayor of Biel, and Silvia Steidle, his finance director. The opening to staff was on August 12, 2022.

Truth about origins and practices

For 40 years, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) has been one of Dexel’s founding values. The Manufacture is a member of the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council), the world’s leading sustainability standards organization for the jewelry and watch industry. It is certified according to the standards of the “Chain of Custody” (CoC) and the “Guide to Practices” (COP), which defines environmental, social and ethical practices in respect of human rights.

The Manufacture of Watchmaking Products Dexel is known for its incredibly low turnover, as evidenced by the loyal core of 20-25 year tenured employees. Its 45-55 male-female parity remains exemplary. The small team in the beginning, about ten employees, has grown into an army of talented individuals. The management team exemplifies a benevolence that allows it to stand up to the surrounding pressure when recruiting. Are we not in the immediate vicinity of some very prestigious watchmakers?

Elio Granito and his management team have been able to support and channel growth that has been consolidated since 2019 with the construction of a new factory located in the vicinity of Biel, in the heart of one of Switzerland’s most important watchmaking areas.
