Could watchmaking expertise reshape care technologies? The ambition bearing the BEMRC signature, alias the Bureau d’Étude Mécanique Romuald Cappelle, finds itself a finalist in the “Watch Medtech Challenge” 2026, organised for the EPHJ fair by the Inartis Foundation.

he concept draws directly on watchmaking: the energy of a spring, released slowly, drives the piston of a syringe… a simple, reliable solution that is entirely independent of any energy source other than manual winding. It concretely illustrates those ever-stronger bridges that exist between the watchmaking and medtech industries, particularly in French-speaking Switzerland where technical skills flow naturally between the sectors.

An exceptional project calls for a particular context: BEMRC celebrates its 20 years of existence in 2026!
