He is an honorary contributor to the Swiss watchmaking magazine JSH, in particular with his “Carte Blanche” devoted to the exhibition Coco Chanel-Picasso, held in Madrid, as well as an active member of the Agefi editorial team.

Xavier Comtesse founded three start-ups in Geneva in the 1980s – a publishing house, a radio station and a IT company – and became a senior civil servant in Berne for the Secretary of State for Science in 1992, then joined (1995) the Swiss Embassy in Washington as a diplomat. In 2000, he established the first Swissnex in Boston and then joined the think tank “Avenir Suisse.” In 2014 he launched “ManufactureThinking” with several experts, a new think tank on the industrial revolution. He is a mathematician and a doctor of computer science.
