The Swiss Watchmaking Festival will transform the town of Yverdon-les-Bains into the epicenter of watchmaking and knowledge transmission, in the stunning, totally eco-responsible Explorit architectural complex. Du 8 au 10 septembre 2023 à la croisée des chemins de toute la Suisse, au coeur de l’arc horloger et à quelques encablures des axes routiers et ferroviaires principaux, l’événement est ouvert au public.

A multi-generational event

A team with a passion for watchmaking, concerned with the values of expertise, perseverance, creativity, talent, patience and dedication to the craft, founded the Association du Festival Suisse de l’Horlogerie. Its missions are of public interest: through the values of Time, the Festival Suisse de l’Horlogerie helps to raise young people’s awareness of the watchmaking professions. Above all, it promotes the educational, festive, entertaining and cultural dimensions that will build the future.

Gouache artist-designer Estelle Lagarde, renowned for her XXL watchmaking works and her ultimate sense of detail and brushwork, will be attending the Festival Suisse de l'Horlogerie

Starting with an inanimate material, choosing components, conceiving hem, and assembling them to generate the “holy movement” that keeps the heart of our time beating…”

Such is the inescapable and precious work of human hands, so often in the shadows”, says the Association. “The soul of this initiative is the culture of excellence, where the artisans of the time are given the opportunity to exhibit their exceptional craftsmanship“.

Tickets on sale, limited access

The Festival Suisse de l’Horlogerie, an annual parenthesis for enthusiasts, amateurs and the curious, provides an opportunity for tradition and excellence to come together and interact. Because watchmaking, Switzerland’s heritage industry par excellence and an undeniable economic force, is a vast field of expression in which family history and technology, creation and culture are often intertwined.
