“This is the world’s highest luxury boutique”, confirms Stéphane Linder, CEO of the Kirchhofer Group, one of Switzerland’s leading watch distributors. It’s also the place to find Swiza knives.

Perched on the ‘roof of Europe’, this showcase faces the famous Jungfrau, a symbolic summit rising to an altitude of 4,158 metres. In addition to the prestigious watch brands that can be purchased here with an altitude certificate, the ‘High Time’ sales boutique recently became the venue for Swiza’s legendary Swiss knives. This includes the brand-new Urbex, celebrating the 120th anniversary of this former watchmaking brand, which has decidedly refocused on its cutlery DNA.

In addition to its traditionally ‘private label’ production, the Jura-based brand is making inroads on the market, often alongside prestige timepieces, with products that are truly desirable: the top-of-the-range Legacies collection has now been joined by three versions of the Urbex, Lava, Mirage and Canoy.

Urbex, a trinity of atmospheres

The Urbex, with its three adventure territories – the sand dunes for the Mirage version, the volcanic landscapes for the Lava and the green stretches for the Canopy – was developed at Biwi, an industrial pearl in the Jura known for its micro-precision and innovative materials. Like Bioroc, a high-performance composite that blends carbon fibres and bio-sourced materials to offer unequalled resistance to impacts and scratches. And Vulcarbone, a high-tech rubber developed exclusively by the Delémont-based company. It guarantees reliable ergonomics and exceptional durability. What’s more, the bodies of Swiza knives – the parts that make up the blades and tools – are lifetime warranted!
