In celebration of its 90th anniversary in 2021, Delbana launched the Della Balda in honor of its founder, Goliardo Della Balda. The new models epitomize his vision through their design and value and were part of the brand’s return to mechanical timepieces.

A golden homage to our founder”
Goliardo Della Balda who ventured away from his birthplace of San Marino to create a new life in Switzerland, had always longed to own a great timepiece, which at the time it seemed unattainable for someone of his humble beginnings. As a young entrepreneur, he was determined to change that and in 1931 realized his dreams of both owning a great watch and establishing a first-class watch company by introducing his own brand, Delbana.
As we move into the next decade of the brand’s history, the brand is building Della Balda’s legacy. In 2022 the collection will be elevated to include two new models in yellow gold. The timepieces embrace original principals of quality and design from the early days of the brand with new proportions and materials.
Delbana’s vintage crest is prominently featured at the top in tribute to Della Balda’s visionary spirit. The guilloche sunray pattern dial is paired with classic sword shaped hands, luminous markers, and a distinctive red arrow seconds hand to complete the elegant design. The Swiss Made automatic movement can be observed through a transparent case back giving the wearer a unique connection with the watch.
The yellow gold PVD case is complemented with yellow gold applied indexes and Arabic numerals, paired with a champagne or white dial on a fitting brown leather strap. The subtle addition of the gold framed date window at 3 o’clock offers a distinguished new detail to the original design.
Quality combined with affordability has defined Delbana from the early days and are articulately represented in our new mechanical watches. These new ageless classic watches of enduring craftsmanship communicate Delbana’s commitment to creating quality timepieces to be admired and enjoyed by all for decades to come.
