The One & Two Openworked Collection pursues its dream of travel and evasion, with its latest timepiece: the Dual Time Pink.

Dual Time Pink, creative inspiration

For the summer season, Speake Marin, along with designer Eric Giroud, have decided to shine the spotlight on a tangy pink pastel tint directly inspired by the fresh coloured tones of the Art Deco architecture seen in the famous Ocean Drive district of Miami, Florida. With this new Dual Time Pink watch and its look that is resolutely fun and casual chic, you can escape to the other side of the planet in a short second. The dual time zone transports you for a moment of relaxation to the beaches of Miami lined with palm trees.

This new pink dial has been thoughtfully created to reflect the very essence of the positive, dynamic and sunny atmosphere that reigns in Miami. With its elegant design and bubblegum pink Pantone 700 C, this Dual Time Pink is an original and fashionable accessory, perfect for adding a touch of audacity to your wrist.

The Case

With its new generation Piccadilly case in Grade 5 Titanium with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) treatment, this timepiece is both functional and resistant. And available in both 38 mm and 42 mm.

The Dial

Its bright pastel pink dial, encased in Titanium, is covered with a fine layer of black PVD, a striking colour contrast that will not go unnoticed.

The open-worked Dual Time Pink displays a warm mix of black PVD adorned with the Rose matte tint of Pantone 700 C. Transferred into the black base plate and contrasting with the equally black bridges, this exceptional pink is then applied in lacquer into the small seconds and retrograde date sub-dial at 1:30, the daylight hours of the dual time sub-dial at 9 o’clock, the rhodium-plated broad ‘arrow’ hand that points to GMT time, and finally, into the rhodium-plated hours and minutes hands in the shape of a heart.

The SMA02 Mouvement

The Dual Time Pink is equipped with a precision movement to guarantee reliable timekeeping. Powered by calibre SMA02, this automatic Manufacture movement was entirely created and assembled by our workshop “Le Cercle des Horlogers” in la Chaux-de-Fonds. Beating with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with a power reserve of 52 hours, this calibre has a fully integrated micro-rotor in the shape of a Topping Tool, emblematic logo of the House of Speake Marin. Local and GMT times are set with the 3 positions of the titanium/black PVD integrated crown, while a small pusher at 7 o’clock sets the small seconds and date.

Front and back sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating offer a panoramic view of the
dial and the movement, for a total timepiece thickness of 12.35 mm.

The barrel is visible at 5 o’clock, “Speake Marin” is lacquered in shiny black at 7 o’clock, and all is encircled by a black PVD flange, covered with a matte grey transfer minute track.

In true haute horlogerie tradition, the skeletonized bridges are beveled, and the movement is decorated with Geneva stripes, black mirror polishing, and again, beveling. This timepiece is completed with a pink rubber strap to match the dial. As soft as it is comfortable, it provides perfect adjustment, ideal for such summer activities as poolside festivities, seaside strolls, or simply a day at the beach. No need for concern, the Dual Time Pink is waterproof to 30 meters, to resist the splashes and be worn without worry on your summer escapades.

About Speake Marin

Speake Marin is an independent Swiss watchmaker based in Geneva.

Founded in 2002 by a London watchmaker and then passed on in 2012 to Christelle Rosnoblet, a woman entrepreneur of emotion and ambition. Expressions of a racy and modern style, the timepieces assert themselves as resolutely strong, precise and ambassadors of Fine Watchmaking.

Since 2015 Speake Marin has initiated a movement strategy that aims to develop and assemble movements in-house within «Le Cercle des Horlogers» locatedat La Chaux-De-Fond (Switzerland).

The positioning of the small second at 1:30 on Speake Marin watches follows the objective of diverting the watchmaking codes: Speake Marin remains the only watchmaker that positions its small second at this point.

This is a real constraint in terms of movement construction, as the second must pass through the time setting module. In 2023, the brand will have eight movements developed in-house.
